2NT responses

Can anyone suggest any 2NT response structure that is quite natural and does not ask much from memory?(Maybe Baron)

Also?

Has anyone ever tried transfers to 2NT as GF with 4+ cards(Idea is, that you accept with 3, level 4 response is 4, level 3 other is natural with 2)?

Not if you ask a good one...

If you're looking for natural, what's wrong with:

3 = 4+ GF

3 = 4+ GF

3 = 4+ GF

3 = 5+ GF

3NT = 4=3=3=3

I also wonder why this is posted in Non-Natural System Discussion if you're looking for something natural... :unsure:

These (together with pass & 3nt) will get you very far:

  • 3 (Puppet) Stayman
  • 3/ Jacoby

Other responses are far less likely...

This doesn't seem to allow responder to make a non-GF bid, nor allow opener to play in his 5-3 fit major. I'd be surprised if anyone has tried it, but I think it clearly does come in the "highly unnatural" category.

Well when i made the thread I assumed then playing puppet+jacoby is the "natural" way. Then if you look at something like 4 card major transfers, it is not that natural anymore, so figure asking if anyone has tried them.

Also im asking this because I was figuring to try and make something workable like this(The idea of this, is to make it somewhat mirror T-Walsh 1 responses, and make it more the same). Id assume that the idea might be a bit silly, but I am also looking to this as a math problem.

Ill try to make some vision of this over the weekend. Would be happy for some review then :)

Phoenix, you have a strange way of using the word "natural". A diamond bid which doesn't show diamonds and is not a suggestion to play a diamond contract is not natural :)

Anyway, 3 showing 4+ hearts begs the question what you would use 3 for. Maybe Heeman could be played after 2NT:

3=5+ spades OR GF with a 5-card hearts OR weak with diamonds

3=Weak with long hearts OR GF with exactly four hearts

3=GF with exactly four spades

But Kungsgetens suggestion is simpler and maybe better.
