another bash or not against pro-client

The 'pro' is not necessarily done with the auction just yet.

He may run to 4N over double, and we are probably not beating that, and he may even run to 5. After all, his 3N might have been a grab of dummy on some 0=5=4=4 or 1=5=4=3 with good clubs.

Otoh, the pro isn't going to be taking the client back to diamonds if we pass, and won't be bidding 4N since that would almost surely elicit a keycard response :D

Take the money and pass.

Are your SURE you can beat any runout at least 2 tricks x (since

setting it down 1 x might be worse than our expected plus in spades).

The opps have settled for 3n but we really have no clue how close they are

to inviting slam so to x here is more of a las vegas maneuver or one born

of desperation.

Odd auction. I wonder what it means? Does RHO actually have the other seven in the deck or just six? If just six, why bid them now with a bad KQ empty suit? If KQ empty seventh, what was the 3 bid all about?

Time to make sure 4 is not some sort of weird convention by asking. If not, might as well double for a lead on the off chance partner has one. It might confuse the opponents on their way to a or or NT contract. Best case, partner may have the rest of a misfit hand sewed up and can double the final contract.

Passing is the percentage bid only if you assume the customer made a colossal error, AND the pro has the other and sits with a pass. Customer dummy hogs are rare. Pro dummy hogs abound.
