rmnka447
Pass, not 2 ♥, too much chance of missing a cold game when partner holds a decent hand with ♠.

ggwhiz
pass. It would be very unusual for me to not get the chance to stick my nose in next round. Perhaps after partner opens a strong notrump?
the_clown
pass>1♥>3♥>2♥ Even 4♥ might bebetter than 2♥ What he said. Playing strong club I might be tempted to open 1♥
kenrexford
1H. Sick, but I often stretch major two-suited hands as dealer. I prefer this lie to the inevitable problem when anyone else opens. When I sense a problem sequence, I like to make the first call. Things seem better to me when I get the first call. What problem sequence are you sensing? I envision passing and then bidding 2H on most auctions given that we have spades.

whereagles
This time passing was right, as leftie (not pard) held: ♠ xx♥ KQJxxx♦ Qx♣ ATx Not that this proves anything, though.
Fluffy
Why are 3H and 4H better than 2H? Because it matches our offensive potential better and puts more pressure on the opps. But since there is no given vulnerability it makes not much sense to talk about level of preempts.
whereagles
I put a vulnerability in the script, but didn't realize it didn't come out in the post. Probably some box was not ticked. Anyway, it's fixed now: all V, and 2nd seat. For the record, I somehow felt passing was correct and duly did it. Would certainly have opened it 2♥ if NV. I wouldn't dream of opening second seat.

ArtK78
I would not dream of opening, period. But this is the BBO Forums, and we were dealt 13 cards. So anything is possible. This reminds me of poker (Hold 'em). Many players will play any two cards (ATC). If they don't, it means that they were not dealt two cards.
