MickyB
Pass. You showed 5-5 by not making a reopening double and your honours are looking defensive. There's a good chance partner was hoping to penalise 2♦.

Flame
Ok if everyone is so sure in passing so lets make this who to blame and show you my parnter's hand.----K8xxQJ1087xxxx If my pass was right, then her double wasnt, is that only because she is weak, i mean give here an extra A of club, is the double right now ? "If my pass was right, then her double wasn't" That doesn't follow - you can't always make the right decision between you, there doesn't always have to be blame. Looking at your two hands, you would expect a heart, a spade and 3 diamonds. However, there is a problem here - partner has 4 card support for your 5 card suit. This makes it too likely that a double will backfire. I would probably double if the opps were vul at MPs, otherwise it isn't worth it. luke warm
i've doubled (and partners have doubled) in this situation when a penalty is judged to be better than bidding on... this hand doesn't qualify, imo.... i think north has an easy 3H bid, and i'd even think hard about bidding 4H... pclayton
Pass is 100%. I've played with partners who pull doubles in situations like this. I don't play with them anymore. You have 2 nice defensive tricks and no extra length in your suits. There's no reason to pull and there is no guarantee of a fit. It may be a big misfit for all you know. Your partner's double is not very sound, but I guess its not criminal. But thinking about using the heart suit for a tap isn't a good idea since it allows declarer to score the small diamonds. Free
pass is correct, so the Doubler is the one to blame :)
flytoox
Pass, you have two def. tricks.
the hog
Actually I don't see a problem. Presumably 3D went 1 off and 4H looks like a very problematical make.
MickyB
Declarer had a heart void so 3♦ made.
Flame
3D made for -670, there was as far as i could see no diffence to that(need one guess to finnese me for the Q of club), 4H had no chance, heart contract for us would make 8 maybe 9 tricks with some luck. the hog
I don't know the hand, but am surprised that 3D would make after a H lead. Can declarer really cope with repeatedly being forced?

Can declarer really cope with repeatedly being forced? sure , he takes AKJ of club (with a finnese on me) takes AK of diamond, and since u want to force him to ruff u will give him the needed 4 ruffs for 9 tricks. He had something likeKJXX---AKXXXXA109and dummy something likeQ10XXJ1098xxKJxYou can instead try playing diamonds but i think nothing will help if he finnese the club right.
