ochinko
LHO has a Queen at most. Looks like Sp3 is the least likely to concede an unnecessary trick. When diamonds are cashed, you're going to be squeezed out of clubs anyway.

abernat
spade lead - I need from partner D or Aiheart lead - I need form partner A, K or 10club lead - I need form partner K, D or 10So I have to make a choice between hearts and clubs. I choose club because of the highest possible benefits.
fred
Low C. wtp? That sums up exactly how I feel about this one. Fred GitelmanBridge Base Inc.www.bridgebase.com

MarkG_VA
Low C. wtp? I would also pick low ♣ (specifically 5 since I lead 4th best). wtp = ? Also, would be interested in learning the prevalent argument/thinking behind 3rd/5th best leads instead of the "standard/what they teach you first" 4th best leads ... follow up questions: then does partner have difficulty distinguishing between 3rd and 5th? When do you choose to lead 3rd and when 5th? Thanks,MarkG_VA
TimG
follow up questions: then does partner have difficulty distinguishing between 3rd and 5th? When do you choose to lead 3rd and when 5th? 3rd and 5th really means: 3rd from even, low from odd. It doesn't mean you lead either the 3rd or 5th best when you have a five card suit. mike777
Alternative: Attitude leads versus NT, low=like suitversus Suit; high low =even, low higher=odd

jdulmage
Playing online at MPs, red vul. RHO deals and opens 2NT, which is passed out. What do you lead from... KT83QJ74voidAJ954 Low ♣ all day. RHO shows 20-21 generally, you have 11 points, that leaves 8-9 points out there somewhere. If it's passed out, you can bet LHO has no more than a 4 count, which leaves 4-5 points. Sure, it could be the K♥, or even the A♥, but unlikely. However, if your partner has even one honor in clubs, no matter if it's the King or Queen, you have a good chance of setting it now.
MickyB
I led a top ♥, thinking that with dummy broke it didn't even need partner to have an honour to not cost. I now agree with the club leaders, the chance to develop tricks in the suit is too great. As it was, partner had Kx in clubs and declarer had QTx.
