Notice how GIB paints a picture of its hand so that it is easy to decide what to do: My link I particularly like the 2NT call by GIB. It allowed me to picture GIB's hand almost down to the spot cards. Unfortunately, the picture was of some hand that GIB didn't happen to hold during the bidding. I acknowledge that GIB doesn't handle splinters well so I can understand passing on that option, but your auction certainly sounds like 3 Spades only. J2NT will get you to the slam easily. GIB does not reevalaute for secondary fits/non-fits so trying to conduct some sort of delicate shape-showing value auction just isn't going to work out well. So maybe 2N is some kind of temporizing bid, because he didn't want to just sign off in 4♠. Ick! (The 5-♥ in the explanation is superfluous, since we already know he has 9+ pointy cards.)
