0 carbon Posted September 28, 2014 Report Share Posted September 28, 2014 One problem TDs have is pairs running out the clock & getting an AVE for what would be a bad board for them.Then TDs are called to adjust - a major pain. Why not clock each pair & if the clock runs out, award AVE- to the slower pair and AVE+ to the faster one. This would encourage fast play & mean many less AVEs, better for TDs and players. For instance, if a player asks for an explanation of a bid, and doesn't make their bid until the opponent responds, the time would be counted against them, which isn't fair.
