badderzboy
[hv=d=n&v=e&n=sk1074ha10dqj1043cj7&s=shkj875432dckq1042]133|200|[/hv] An interesting hand from last night Beg/Int class at my local club. Considering South in isolation first... What do u do if (1) Partners opens... 1♦ or 1♠(2) Opps open 1♦ or 1♠(3) Two passes to you...
luke warm
[hv=d=n&v=e&n=sk1074ha10dqj1043cj7&s=shkj875432dckq1042]133|200|[/hv] What do u do if (1) Partners opens... 1♦ or 1♠(2) Opps open 1♦ or 1♠(3) Two passes to you... it's 4:30 am so take that into account 1) 1H over 1D and 2H over 1S2) 2NT over opps' 1D and 3C (top and bottom) over their 1S3) 1H
the hog
If I am first to open - 4H. I will bid again if the opps bid. If the opps open I make my 2 suited bid If pd opens 1D, I bid 1H If pd opens 1S, I bid a forcing NT
Gerben47
Bid until you are declarer is the usual advice with such a hand. Anyway, loser count tells me I have about 3.5 losers. No I'm not going to open 2♣! 1) If partner opens 1♦ I bid 1♥. If partner opens 1♠ I bid 2♥.2) If RHO opens 1♦ I bid 1♥. If RHO opens 1♠ I bid 2♥. Followup: some amount of clubs, if needed followed up by more hearts.3) 1♥ then 5♣ on my next turnl. As to the hand: After 1♦ - 1♥ - 1♠, bid 3♣ showing GF and 5-5. Partner bids 3NT and now I bid 4♥. I don't know how to reach 6♥ on these cards. The ♣J is very important.
