Questions on riton 2C and Roman 2M

I'm revisiting the posts about riton 2 and it seems everyone has accepted that it should be combined with Roman 2M openings(2M as 12-15 5M&4+C)as Henri Schweizer suggested which I had some difficulty to understand.

I would rather switch 2M opening and 1M-1NT-2M, so now a direct 2M shows a minimum opener with 6+M.

Advantages:

1. Showing a 6 card suit immediately is good for competitive auctions

2. With a 6 card major, it is less likely for you to look for fit in the other major, while you gain some 5-3 fit in other major that are lost when playing roman 2M

3. Less information leakage if the hand belong to opponents

Does this make any sense?

hello yunling

imo, showing two suits at once is better regarding competitive auctions- we all know that many expensive boards are generated by wrong décisions with undisclosed double fits- this rejoins your third point yes, more informations to opponents if hand belongs to them i m not sure this can be avoided.

regarding 5/3 fits in other major, the responder can have a complete picture of the opener's hand via a 2NT relay, including 3514 shape.

2M showing 5-4+ in M/!C is essential playing imps and Gazzilli. Much easier to find crucial games and slams. Also as Ritong says less sensitive for preempts. Playing match Points maybe weak two is better.

Im not talking playing weak 2 im talking 2M being equivalent to 1M-1?-2M so 1M-1?-2M become 5M+4C.

Would you also want 1-2; 2 to show clubs? What would 1-2; 3 show?

A natural GF 2 is not a part of my system, but if I'll play that, my idea is

2 = bal or 4+

2 = natural

2NT = 6+

3 = 4+, then 3 is non-serious

3 = 5

Can't put all 1-suited hands in 3, that's too high.

Also, what would you do with 6 hearts and 4 spades? If you open 2, you can miss a 4-4 spade fit. If you open 1, responder bids 1NT, and what are you going to do now if 2 shows 54?

For every 41??/51?? vs 46?? you will get the same amount of ?1?3 vs ?6?4 where 3C will be bad, but at least you are one level lower and you don't have the 5??3 vs 3514/3505 to worry about.

The best is simply to play KI and use 1NT as artificial instead of 2C.

1H-1S-1NT 1NT could be Gaz,Riton or transfers etc.. it doesnt really matter, almost anything will be better with 1NT art than with 2C as art.

KI can help here. Inquiry 2/1 also use a version of Kaplan Inversion.

So

1-1-?

1NT = strong

2/2 = natural

2 =

1-1NT-?

2 = strong

2 = natural

2 =
