You happen to know that your partner and your opponents are conservative bidders, so assume everyone has their bid. Would you bid on? Weirdly a lot of tables played in spades, some never even competed at all. As an aside, I would take 3♣ as asking for the better suit without discussion. Using it as a form of relay is also good but needs agreement.
