Kungsgeten
Hi Kungsten, How do you continue with transfer openings ? 1♦ = 10-16 hp 4+♥..1♥ = 3 card fit or no fit ? When we played transfer openings we used something like this: 1D (4+ hearts, not 4333 or 4432, may have longer minor)..1H = Forcing, showing one of the hands below:a) A GF hand wishing to use relaysb) A negative-NT type of hand, looking for the right partscore. Should have 2-card support.c) INV or mildly slammish with 4+ support and a singletond) 4+ support, mildly slammish and a voide) A constructive raise with 3-card support, about 8-10 hcp The other responses to 1D were:1S = Natural forcing, if only 4 spades then INV1N = Transfer to clubs. Usually 5+ clubs but could be down to 3 if INV. 0+ hcp2C = 5+ diamonds. 0+ hcp2D = Limit raise with 3 card support OR constructive raise with 4 card support2H = Weak 3+ raise2S = Weak2NT = Limit or slam interest opposite the right shortness from partner. 4+ supportHigher = Weak/to play In this system we played 10-14 openings, and prior to that we played 8-11 openings (and the the ranges above were adjusted a bit)
