Here the double of 4C is not takeout and (merits of my double aside), GIB decides to pull despite having decent defense and me denying support. steve2005 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 I empathise with you, its hard to extract a penalty with GIB. But doesn't GIB realize 4♦ is hopeless. You've shown at most 2♦ and might only be 11 hcp. As cards are its down 3 vul which is bad enough, but why that contract isn't doubled for 800 I don't know? Should be improved in next version as for cases like these where fit was emphatically denied to be showing some penalty length as GIB would stay.
