Bbradley62
No one cheated... East psyched... that is probably against the rules of the tournament you played, which is why the director (not "referee") awarded the adjusted score. But it's not something to write to abuse about. Bbradley62
If you find other examples of similar actions by the same players, then maybe there's a pattern that is worth reporting.

BBO tournies are not bound by our earthly rules. Though repeated red psyches within a single session might still be considered bad form. Zelandakh
First of all to the OP - it is fine to report a suspicious pair to abuse but you should not post details here. Your hand records are available for everyone to see so it is effectively a public accusation of cheating and therefore against the TOU for the site. Secondly, the pair in question certainly play an unusual game with a psyche on almost every hand but somehow always landing right side up, unlike cluelessness. My guess is that the same player is controlling both accounts. For the record the monthly averages are +3.11 IMPs/bd and 65.74%
dicklont
how do you find results of other people? http://bridgebase.com/myhands/index.phpYou can search anybody by entering the username. I looked up a hand on which someone at the website of our club reported a very nicely played squeeze and found out he had not played the squeeze but found it afterwards in his analysis. And by the way he declared the hand he obviously had not included any squeeze in his plan.Watch out what you brag about, we can check! lxt08
Statement about My intention is not to let everyone know who was playing double dummy. But must be met by the referee looking to return to their score. This may be the only way to deal with such problems.
Zelandakh
This may be the only way to deal with such problems. The way to deal with such matters is to email abuse@bbo.com, as you already mentioned. Posting here is not "the only way". Even if BBO ban the 2 accounts involved, how difficult do you think it will be to create 2 new ones? In the meantime you could find yourself banned if you make a habit of doing this.

I don't even think it is legal to restrict psyches, as some jurisdictions do.You must be new to BBO B-) I don't know what f2f clubs do, but online tournaments frequently prohibit psyches. I just checked the list of free upcoming pairs tournaments, and both of those whose instructions are in English prohibit psyches. Ok, one said "no bluff bids", but I presume that's roughly the same thing.

Vampyr
You must be new to BBO B-) Well, I don't play on BBO. But I think that to call the game "bridge" they have to play according to the Laws.
paulg
Well, I don't play on BBO. But I think that to call the game "bridge" they have to play according to the Laws. The WBF Women's Online Festival, that I believe is run twice a year and organised by the WBF, prohibits psychs. From the CoC (PDF): "Psychic are forbidden: TD will assess a 60%-40% score or will confirm the table score if poorer." So you may not call it bridge, but the WBF presumably would not least because I raised the issue with them in 2009 and they have never changed the regulation. campboy
How can this be? It is illegal to prohibit psyches. I don't even think it is legal to restrict psyches, as some jurisdictions do.I agree with the first point. For the second, it is usually justified by the fact that Law 40B2a gives the RA powers to "allow conditionally[] any special partnership understanding", so a regulation allowing multi on condition that it isn't psyched is considered legal.
helene_t
No that doesn't make sense because a psyche is per definition a deviation from partnership understanding. Maybe the rationale is that if a player psyches a convention which the director is unfamiliar with, it is difficult for the TD to assess how safe the psyche is and whether partner seemed to have catered to the psyche. But OK that isn't a legal justification, just a political one.
