kenrexford
A sequence this evening gave me a thought, which is always dangerous. Partner had 5S/6D and heard 1H-P-2H-? Doubling with an ELC treatment puts 10 cards on the table. Something about this seems intriguing.
SteveMoe
Anyone use leaping Michaels here? How does that impact this idea?
gnasher
In some partnerships I play Leaping Michaels in this auction. If not playing that, I would unimaginatively bid one of my suits and then take a view on whether to show the other one. Doubling with this shape is dangerous, because partner may compete in clubs at a high level. And it loses the fifth spade, which is rather more important than some of the other ten cards that Ken wants to show.
