Bbradley62
What in the world are North's bids for? And 4♣ explanation is a little out there...[hv=nn=North&n=SKHJ9864DQ53C9432&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=1H(Major%20suit%20opening%20--%205+%20%21H%3B%2011-21%20HCP%3B%2012-22%20total%20points)P1S(One%20over%20one%20--%204+%20%21S%3B%206+%20total%20points)2N(Unusual%20notrump%20overcall%20--%205+%20%21C%3B%205+%20%21D%3B%203-%20%21H%3B%203-%20%21S%3B%2015%2B%20total%20points%3B%20forcing)P3S(16-%20total%20points)P4C(3-%20%21H%3B%203-%20%21S%3B%20twice%20rebiddable%20%21C%3B%20twice%20rebiddable%20%21D%3B%2025%20total%20points)P4S(2+%20%21C%3B%206-16%20total%20points)P]560|270[/hv]

I think this is a bug.
iandayre
I think I should stop reading this forum. I am getting depressed reading all these threads where GIB takes utterly ridiculous actions and/or the bid explanations are nonsensical. Fortunately GIB does OK on 90% of the hands and it's possible to play an enjoyable round of bridge in most cases. This one really does take the cake. Partner cuebids and your minimum rebid is somehow supposed to show massive values. I guess you have to pass the cuebid with less than 25!!! steve2005
its possible for north to 15 pts? Did it forget to bid earlier?
Antrax
iandayre, it's not depressing, it's fascinating. People rarely post about GIB's brilliance (except for Fred for a short while), but think how routinely it does stuff like squeeze you for an overtrick. Always remember the fact that a pair of even basic GIBs finishes over 50% in BBO's tournaments. Also, if you look at earlier threads in the forum, you'll see the problems are getting "smaller", in a way. It's been a long time since GIB passed me out in a cue bid, for instance.
