I think the key here is that he has 3 spades so will be ruffing some in the short hand (and the vulnerability). He wants partner to have x, Axxx, any 8 cards (or Q♥ and a minor suit Q) and even that is only 500 vs 620. I'm not sure I'd find it though, if I made the bid, partner would have xx, Jxxxx, QJx, Qxx and I'd be dialling a gazillion against nothing.

Well! if they have a slam on they WILL bid it.Slam is likeky as it is my LHO who has dbled and RHO has VOLUNTARILY bid 4S in a vulnerable position.5H is not likely to be a successful bid as it is likely to convey that you have no void anywhere.As a beginner I would refrain from bidding 5 H.
