Got 3 tables this time, and Barry won: http://webutil.bridgebase.com/v2/tview.php?t=3383-1404066130

Me and Kuhchung fought for last place but due to an unfortunate misunderstanding where I thought we were fighting for next to last while he was aiming for last, he won - wd Kuh :)

There were some interesting boards too, I'll post separately.

I show it to point out that I wasn't kidding when I said in the "is this a 3 diamond raise, "Lord knows I support with support with nothing often enough"... here is a perfect example of the weak raise. Of course, it is easy to see that I don't have my bid and I put my partner in a difficult situation of what to bid.

I have to take the blame on this one for my creative raise..... [/hv]

The one I'm embarassed at is:

[hv=lin=pn|phoenix214,tourtour,barmar,helenad|st%7C%7Cmd%7C1S2456H3478JDC57JA%2CS9THQAD23567TJAC6%2CS378QAH6D8KC24TQK%2C%7Crh%7C%7Cah%7CBoard%2019%7Csv%7Ce%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7C5D%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cmb%7Cp%7Cpc%7CH6%7Cpc%7CH2%7Cpc%7CHJ%7Cpc%7CHQ%7Cpc%7CDA%7Cpc%7CD8%7Cpc%7CD4%7Cpc%7CS2%7Cpc%7CD2%7Cpc%7CDK%7Cpc%7CD9%7Cpc%7CS4%7Cpc%7CCK%7Cpc%7CC3%7Cpc%7CC5%7Cpc%7CC6%7Cpc%7CC2%7Cpc%7CC8%7Cpc%7CCA%7Cpc%7CD3%7Cpc%7CHA%7Cpc%7CS3%7Cpc%7CH5%7Cpc%7CH3%7Cpc%7CD5%7Cpc%7CSQ%7Cpc%7CDQ%7Cpc%7CS5%7Cpc%7CHK%7Cpc%7CH4%7Cpc%7CS9%7Cpc%7CS7%7Cpc%7CHT%7Cpc%7CH7%7Cpc%7CST%7Cpc%7CC4%7Cmc%7C11%7C]400|300[/hv]

I'm not sure what came over me when I failed to cash the A. Although partner didn't help by putting in the J on the opening lead unnecessarily. Even if declarer had played the 9 or 10 from dummy, he should be able to read it as a singleton, and know that opener has exactly AQ, so covering is unnecessary.

But it turns out it wouldn't have made a difference in the matchpoints, since we didn't double.
