helene_t
- - 1♦2♦(1)-2♥3♣-3♦(2)3♠-4♣4♥-5♦pass (1) forcing(2) nonforcing Maybe W should just sign off in 5♦ after East's 4♣ bid. Or maybe East is worth a 5♣ bid over West's 4♥ bid, in that case I think W will bid slam.
diana_eva
I'm not convinced this is a good slam. You have one spade loser (you can probably suspect more while you are actually bidding, because you wouldn't know about the doubleton) and you need trumps to split 2-2. The bidding itself depends on your agreements. Either inverted minors, or 2NT forcing if you play it that way. I suppose both of these are not available, else you wouldn't have posted the hand. So I'm not sure what I would do with zero agreements, perhaps bid 1♠ and show diamond support later after establishing GF via 4th suit forcing. But I'm pretty sure I'd stop in 3NT no matter how we start.
Zelandakh
Looks like a 1NT - <some version of Puppet>; <no 5M> - 3NT hand to me. Or playing 15-17 NT 1♦ - 2♦; <some bid to show a balanced hand> - 3NT
Cyberyeti
This is not a slam you want to be in, add Q♦ to the West hand and it's a reasonable question to ask.

P_Marlowe
Hi, #1 you forced it on us, but most would make a 1S overcall with the South hand#2 I will give it a try, N/S pass through out 1D - 2D (1)2H (2) - 3NT (3) all pass (1) inv. minor (2) heart values(3) stoppers in the open suits, semibal. shape, more than min I did not make it beyond 3NT #3 As far as I am concerned staying out of 6D with 28HCP,a slam that req. 22 trumps, is not the end of the world If West had the Queen of diamonds, you want to be there, but it still is hard, next to impossible, since you have basicallyno wastage, and discovering minor suit slam with min HCP, and semi falt hands is very hard, because bypassing 3NT is dangerous, you will quite often go down in 5m, when 3NT makes.Even with the Queen of diamonds the auction I gave is still valid,West showes 13-15, has 16, has a likely 54 fit, so you could sayhe should bid 2S, but he will raise opneres 2NT bid to 3NT, andthat would be the end of the seq. With kind regardsMarlowe
broze
FYP - be sure to give your opponents the correct disclosure! Don't worry, I have 14+ - 17 on my card. :P But I would also open it a 15-17 NT in a pickup partnership, so my post is not all bad.
Lovera
If it is manteining 1♦ by E bidding should be : 3♦(=14-18 bal), 4♦(=minorwood)-4♠(=0-3 keys leaving same steps of RKB 1430), 5♣(=query for Q)-5♦(=no Q) and you must choise what to do, ciao.
