hrothgar
Hi All Quick question for the staff: The BLML is involved in a heated discussion about the recent European championships in Menton. One interesting piece of information was a count on the total number of tables played over the course of the event. [For anyone who is interested, the figure was 123,647] I'm somewhat curious how this compares to BBO, OKBridge, or the like. Any chance that the staff could post some data points regarding membership, as well as the average number of boards in play per hour on Bridge Base Online? Ideally, I'd love to see time series data so I could make some estimations regarding projected growth rates. For example: June 29th: A members averaging Z tables per hourJune 28th: B members averaging Y table per hourJune 27th: C members averaging X tables per hour I am particularly interested in two determining two pieces of information: First, the diffusion of a new technology like BBO is typically modelled as an "S" curve. I'm interested in estimating whether the site is still experiencing exponential growth or whether the we've passed an inflection point. Second, I'd be most interested in understanding how long it will be before an online site like BBO rivals a major tournament like Menton or the ACBL Nationals regarding the total number of tables in play during a given time period. If I can get the raw data, I would be happy to share the results.[i can also try to customize the analysis] Regards Richard
