acclaim9
I have been a member for several years. Why don't I have a rating ?
Bbradley62
It's my understanding that when you look at someone else's profile, BBO tells you how "compatible" that person should be as a partner for you. When you look at your own profile, you don't see a compatibility rating, because BBO doesn't want you playing with yourself. When I (for example) look at your profile, it shows a compatibility rating of 2 stars.

Antrax
Since this is in "suggestions for the software", maybe the suggestion should be when people check their profile they always see five stars? That seems like a less worrying default than having nothing in there.

That seems like a less worrying default than having nothing in there.I just entered a tourney by registering at the find a partner desk. My name was duly listed there and I was amused to note that I only had 3.5 star compatibility rating with myself. Maybe I psyche too much for my own good. play4fun55
But how is this compatibility calculated?
1eyedjack
But how is this compatibility calculated? The precise formula is currently opaque. But it is in early days of development and a moving goalpost. Hopefully when it is stable there will be more info in public domain. See other recent thread where discussed in bit more depth including contributions from BBO. http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/66409-version-148f-please-post-feedback-and-suggestions-here/page__view__findpost__p__793653
BriddlesBo
For those of us who teach, it would seem that our compatibility rating would be quite low due to constant critique/suggestion/comments/long chat/etc. appearing we are TOO CRITICAL. barmar
If lots of people are marking teachers as enemies because of all their critical comments, the teachers might be considered compatible with each other, since they have similar F/E statistics. helene_t
Really? If I wanted my teacher to shut up I would just stop paying his fees. No need to mark him as an enemy, he won't critizise my bidding/play for free. Except for Han, he criticises my play for free, but he is not a bridge teacher AFAIK :)
