rg14
Hi friends, Could anybody suggest bridge book titles specifically on competitive bidding? Thank you!
Zelandakh
Helo rg and welcome to the forums. I can point you to a modern classic that is also available freely on the internet - Partnership Bidding at Bridge by Robson and Segal. To get a copy go to Bridge with Dan and page down to the "More Stuff" section. Click on the link there - it will come as a zipped pdf file.

What I particularly like about this book, also recommended, is that the discussion makes you think a lot about the theory of bidding in the context of an empathetic partnership. neilkaz
I'm not sure what the OP's skill level is, but "Getting into the Bidding" by Bill Treble is a good intermediate book covering many competitive bidding situations.
ggwhiz
I've always been a fan of the way Mike Lawrence explains things but he doesn't have a single book on the subject. The complete books on overcalls and balancing should cover it and either of Play Bridge With or Play a Swiss Teams With books have a lot of the situations covered as an inexpensive way to see if his writing style connects with you as well as it did with me. WrecksVee
For Mike Lawrence you should also add The Complete Book of Takeout Doubles.
