nige1
How many of you have actually updated/modified your system agreements after reading some of the ideas posted in these forums? It's a waste of time to peruse suggested new methods, if you're set in your ways.
Trinidad
I think most BBF members have learned quite a bit from these forums, otherwise they wouldn't come here. And it seems only logical to use what you have learned, once you and your partner really understand it. As with anything in life: What is the purpose of gaining knowledge when you refuse to use it? Everything I read about agreements goes through my convention test:Is it making a significant improvement over what I do now?Is it easy to remember, for me and my partner?Does it fit our style and goals? If the answer to all these questions is yes, then it is quite likely that we will try it out. Rik
ggwhiz
It's more than just updating my own agreements but also tactical considerations to take into account when playing against certain treatments that I don't like and have a better understanding of how they (don't) work. For example I'm pretty close to raising a spade overcall blind against a support double.
