GIB bid over my RKC signoff

GIBs explanation of my 5S bid was correct that it was a signoff. So why did it take another bid? We were indeed off two aces.

Interesting note: This was an instant tournament, and another South conducted exactly the same auction and got passed in 5♠, likely meaning that this problem is something GIB has recently "learned".

The explanation of 4NT includes 6+S and 19+ total points. Wouldn't such a hand have bid 2♠ over 1C?

Not necessarily. It wouldn't make a strong jump shift if it had a second suit (unless it's opener's suit).

Would it not have bid it's 2nd suit over 2N, had it held one?

Fixed in v30.

 

It proceeded after simulation due bug created in v29. It will not proceed with basic robots. Bug applies only for this sequence though. ( 5♥ - 5♠ signoff with spades ).
