daspdl
If playing against Robots would have an option to use Random VuGraph deals, TWO major improvements would follow.:1. More of the hands would require you to defend the hand . Defensive Play practice is limited now.2. You could compare your bidding and play to that used by the experts and professionals that played the VuGraph deals. And of course all the hands would be more realistic. Now you almost always have as many or more points than anyone at the table.
1eyedjack
The first of the two listed "improvements" does not require the use of VuGraph deals. It simply requires revoking the current self-imposed restriction that provides South with at least as many HCP as any other player at the table. And there exist even now robot tourneys that lift that restriction, although the majority are certainly of the "best hand South" variety. That said, if BBO are scrabbling about for some innovative tourney formats, I think that the idea has some merits. You would have to recognise and acknowledge the possibility that a hand might be recognised by a player. In practice unlikely, I expect, but to keep it pure you may have to disqualify these tourneys from BBO masterpoints.
uday
You can do this now using the web version of bbo start a 'Vugraph Deal' table and sit (say) southpark bots into West, North, East
