Oh boy, were to start.Did EW make one right bid? Highly doubtful...

Double of 3 is bizarre unless you have an agreement that this is penalty (and maybe 3 is general takeout ala fishbein). Since double here is generally read as takeout and west has soooo many clubs, double can't be right.

East first bid. You know, that five card heart suit looks like a three card one to me (ok, well a four card one), and that six card diamond suit with honors looks pretty good to me. I would have bid 3 over the double, not 3. With this weak of a hand, I want to show where I live,,, If partner insist, I cand show hearts later... if need be.

3NT, ok a good shot... but if WEST thought his hand was good enough for 3NT he should bid that directly over 3C not with a double.

4D.. I guess with a club void and partner short, running makes some sense, but what if partner had AKx of diamonds? Anyway, 4D is not horrible but could be second guessed if 3NT makes or if something nasty happens in four hearts doubled...

4H .. ok, three card support versus 2 card support, and 4H is at least game. When 4H gets doubled, EAST with an 8 high suit probalby should think of running. His partner has three hearts at best. This hand will be forced on club leads. Ugly all around. As for the redouble? What was west smoking? His partners 4D bid wasn't from stregnth...... his hand will be a huge disappointment to his partner at best. And if his partner had anything it is HE who could have redoubled.

5D is a better (aka safer contract), and 4D is about perfect...
