helene_t
with three-card support you can add a couple of points for the singleton. It is normal for pairs that play forcing 1NT to respond with such hands. In this position (w/w, partner is dealer) I would do it even if ♣K had been the queen. lycier
I had ever played GIB's hands which I lost game with 5hcp before,GIB often don't respond with 5hcp.
helene_t
With 5hcp and less than 3-card support for partner it is ok to pass.

Bbradley62
But, it would still be good to change the description of GIB's 1NT to something that more accurately reflects GIB's decision to make the bid. i.e.: "6-12 total points" would be better than "6+ HCP; 12- total points". Lovera
yes shouldn't say hcp, that's the mistake should say ptsIt sure, but should be necessary to consider also the concept of declarability of a suit to eliminate bidding with only four cards without dressed honors (and etc.).
