A forcing pass problem

I seem to get to 6 either way, is that intentional?

Also, I elected to double 5.

Yup, the real problem happens on the play, on the real hand it was diamonds who were 4-0, opponents were cold for 6...

I reached 6 because my partner made the mistake of passing 5, doubling is much better with a balanced minimum with heart wastage, partner should remove it of course, but that is the end of the auction normally, and on the real hand you would stay there, winning 11 against 6-1 on the other table. A lead is not only bad for tempo, it sets up the 12th trick with K, a diamond lead beats it with no problem

I only ask because all three realistic actions (pass, X, 5) all eventually lead to a 6 bid by partner. I didn't realize there could be a problem in the play (I doubled) until trick 2 when I regrouped and realized trumps probably broke 4-0. By then it was too late, of course…
