That potential is magnified if it requires your password. Again, whether web site or application. If the application or website requires your password and that request does not come from paging myhands then you can be reasonably confident that it is nefarious. But the converse does not necessarily apply. Ie if it does page myhands this is no guarantee of safety. Always assuming that you are capable of detecting the source of the request. So for max safety don't use any third party apps or web sites, and in the extreme that would extend to DDS. But if you do then as I said before, caveat emptor.
