RunemPard
Welcome to the 42nd annual King of the Sinners PPV event. In the left corner we have Dozing Don. In the right corner we have The Sacred 8. Ding-ding. I really messed this up myself, but just interested in seeing who made the biggest dumb move. I feel my partner and I were both bridge sinners on one board! :o So this is a serious issue...:P My bridge sin committed...falling asleep at the table. Contract 3NT (opps)...my lead with...Kxx QTxx Kxxx xx 4th best heart led, single 9 from dummy. Pard takes the K and opps win with A immediately. They go on to play clubs and cash Qxx AKxxx. On the 3rd club, partner is out and plays the ♠4. I notice it is low, look at my hand and understand based on the bidding it is realistic for partner to hold the ♦A. I soon doze off, unaware that I am now a sinner. On the next club, the 3 is thrown while I am daydreaming about who-knows-what. But this is where partner has sinned...Giving partner an opportunity to make a mistake. Holding 843 in spades, udca count/att/lavinthal. There is no reason for partner to consider the ♠8 as a valuable asset. In conclusion: Pard holds 843 KJxxx xxx xx. I thought if he had 4 hearts without the jack, I should obviously let him in on diamonds. Lost in my thought, I forgot to look at his next toss and missed a valuable marking. Who is crowned King of the Sinners? Disclaimer: I mostly made this post for laughs and to share my own stupidity.
HighLow21
My response is that you're a good player, and defense is difficult.
ggwhiz
Odd-Even discards? Wolff hates them because of hesitations before you pick one but with a little practice I prepare mine in advance and never have a problem with tempo.
