You draw trumps in 2 rounds and play Ace of clubs then King of clubs. On the second round of clubs, East shows out. What next? this is a question for beginners :) Eagles

Zelandakh
Classic hand. As a corrolary, how would you play differently now if it was South that held the ♦AQ?
Cyberyeti
Classic hand. As a corrolary, how would you play differently now if it was South that held the ♦AQ? Not much, unless your opp can open 2♥ on a 3 count in 1st seat
Zelandakh
I think you might have misread the hand CY - Opener has led the ♥K so we can safely assume they did not open on 3hcp. I admit the odds of the alternative providing an advantage are small but this is N/B so give your opps every chance to make a mistake. Grumble, assumed S was declarer as seems to be BBO standard unless you state N is declarer, hence the partner of the preempter had led the K. eagles123
sorry folks, wasn't aware that S had to be declarer, I did put the bidding in to be fair :)
gwnn
S should be declarer (on BBO forums and on bridge books alike).
