Hanoi5
All white, MP's: ♠Qx♥J6xxx♦Jx♣96xx 1♠-(2♥)-Pa-(3♦)Pa-(3♠)-Pa-(4♥)Pa-(Pa)-?
nate_m
Feels 110% pass. Looks like they are on a 5-2 or so. We don't have a guaranteed set and if we are beating it there is a good chance they are running to something we REALLY can't defend.

lycier
The opener usually have 2 quick tricks, but for your hand,it is only regarded as 1 trick,so I'm not sure to defeat them,my choice is pass.
mcphee
Double just on the strength of the 9 of clubs which on a good day will prove how clever I am. We may not even be able to contribute ONE defensive trick but maybe partner forgot to double. Why should we tip declarer that the big feature of our hand is his trumps do not break, oh, and we have the 9 of clubs.
Hanoi5
I made a mistake on the bidding. You had doubled 3♠ asking for a lead.
johnu
Double. Punish them! If the opponents redouble, re-redouble. This may not be legal in bridge, but you can in backgammon, so that's my call. On a very lucky day, this could be +2200 or more. I'll give a full analysis after I get back from buying some lotto tickets.
HighLow21
I'd double. How are they going to set up tricks and then use them? What are the odds declarer will NOT lose trump control early on? In my view double stands to lose 170 and stands to gain 50 to 350, and their odds of making it are way less than 50%. ggwhiz
Their chances of going down in this are about 1 in 5 and 1 in 10 if you double. Double and you deserve to hit the partnership desk in short order.

gszes
It matters not one whit if you think you can set 4h. The opps may be in a contract they cannot make due to bad breaks in hearts. That does not mean you can set 7d. The opps bidding has been unclear as to the length and strength of diamonds and even hearts. It is generally a very poor idea to x the opps in a contract, even when you "know" they are set) if there is another plausible place for them to play (nate_m). pass = 10 x = 1 (there are worse things you can do at this point but not many)
ggwhiz
I completely disagree with your assessment. Don't forget that missing from the OP is the fact that you doubled their 3♠ cue bid for the lead! Why you would do that when you are 50% on lead, should show more than this trash and you still haven't got a squeak out of partner. The 4♥ bid was offered immediately afterwards so I think they are on a 5-3 fit and partner was silent after a mere opening with (extreme?) heart shortness indicating a minimum. And I agree with gszes that they may well have missed a slam in diamonds.
