Suffice to say that this is a good position for transfers, especially in a Precision context. The level of the opps might be relevant in the play of the hand. After a ♠ lead I would play ♥8, ♥A, ♦9. If the ♦K is with West we are in good shape now. If East has ♦Kx they can beat it by returning another ♦. Similarly if ♦K was singleton and West has the ♣A they can organise a ♦ ruff. But at my level of play East will usually exit woodenly in a major allowing us 6 hearts and 5 or 6 diamonds. Against good opps this line is probably poor because they can see the diamond suit and will know what to do. In this case it is probably better to insert a second round of trumps before tackling diamonds but there is almost certainly something much better than this.
