Jinksy
KJ955K73AQJ92 Vs AQ74KQJT92-KT4 NS vul, MP scoring. S deals and opens 1H, W bids 2D (which it will turn out is a pretty sick bid since he lacks the AH, but c’est la vie), N Xes, E bids 3D. Assuming no further intervention and no unusual gadgets, how do you think N/S should proceed from here? Do you agree with N’s X?
rhm
South is too strong for 4♠.I like 5♦ as exclusion keycard Blackwood, obviously based on spades, the only suit responder has guaranteed. What else do you need this bid for? Key suits are spades and asker's primary suit, so in this case hearts. North shows 2 key-cards without major suit queens and South bids 6♠ 1♥-(2♦)-DBL-(3♦)5♦*--5NT 6♠ Do you agree with N’s X?Hard to see what else North should do over 2♦. Shape before strength. Bidding 3♣ is game forcing and shows clubs, but looking for a 4-4 major suit fit thereafter is not my cup of tea. Rainer Herrmann
ggwhiz
If you are not playing exclusion this hand is big trouble and I agree that south is too strong for 4♠. North has to double at mp's and the 3♦ bid has put the boots to you. 4♦ followed by 5♦ is all I can think of or 4nt assuming they have the A♦ but I'm not even sure what the kc suit is. The 2♦ bidder got lucky this time.
