kgr
[hv=d=w&v=n&n=shkjtxdakjxcaqjxx&s=st97643ha9xxdqxxc]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv]Bidding:West did open 1S and North DBL. I did bid 3H after which we ended in 6H without further bidding of opps.West did lead the ♠ Ace.What is the best line to play this hand.Remark:My ending with one trick lost was:[hv=d=w&v=n&n=shkjtxdakjxcaqjxx&s=st97643ha9xxdqxxc]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv]I can ruff a ♣ now with ♥A and finess ♥ to make all tricks, but I forgot that ♦J was high. :o Next time if in dummy AKQJ or something like that, then I will start with playing the lowest of the sequence (I will easier see that the A is high <_< ). kgr
I posted this in the beginner folder because I played it as a beginner, but any advice by experts (Inquiry,...) on how to play this hand best is very welcome. How I did play it:I should add that opps play 4-card M system. So 1S opening was 4+ cards S.After S lead I thought for a couple of minutes if I should play for cross-ruff or setup clubs in dummy. I couldn't make up my mind (probably because it was the last board of the afternoon). So I did ruff the ♠A. Played ♣A, ruffed a ♣, cashed ♦Q, to dummy with ♦A, ruffed another ♣ and back to dummy with ♦K. ♦K was ruffed by LHO and a ♠ was returned. I did ruff the ♠ in dummy.[hv=n=shkjdjcqj&s=st97ha9dc]133|200|[/hv]At this moment I didn't remeber that ♦J was high (Probably I did think too long about this hand).I can make it now if I ruff a club with ♥A, and take the ♥ finesse. (LHO did have: AKxx-Qxx-xx-Kxxx).Was this the best line (expect of course the ♦J history  ) or is there a better line to play this hand?
