This is a real hand with interesting double-suit distribution, now the problem come out,I guess your next step is to bid 3/3 even though not strong hand holding,or what else?

1)- If you abide by "Major first" as a general bidding rule, after 2,you should bid 3,you hope to make 4 .

2)- If you abide by "minor suit length first" as a bidding rule, after 2,you should bid 3 then plan to reverse 4, if you do so,I am afraid that your partner will consider you with slammish strongly, perhaps the disaster will be happened.

I would open the hand in first chair with 1 for the higher upside and bid 3 here for all the downside to 3 that you stated.

My lho may be raising spades to 3 or 4 or partner may have pump protection that would make many 5-2 fits playable too. ie. after 3 - 3nt from pard I'm bidding 4 and liking my chances if pard bids 4 on a doubleton honor.

I see a vote for other, probably a negative double but you are screwed if lho raises after that.

X

at the very least we get across the idea of having the rounded suits. If one considers this

to be an opening bid (not me) than you have little reason to avoid bidding 3h (most likely

game) which chews up a lot of space in a potential misfit situation. Starting with x if p were to bid 3d

you can bid 4c which at least will show the long clubs and short diamonds. The 4c bid will allow p to

back into 4h with 3 card support while preserving all possible contracts.

IMO Double = 10, 3 = 8, 3 = 6. Intending to bid 4 later.

3 then then . I'm game forcing, and I'm hoping partner bids 3 over 3, but even if he doesn't, partner should get the picture when I intruduce hearts at the 4 level.
