ahydra
Interesting how it knew not to ruff with the 2 because it might get overruffed by the 3, but not the same for the 4/5 and the 6. Perhaps all simulations it ran never placed East with the ♠6? :o (edit: or never simultaneously a diamond singleton and the ♠6) ahydra
Antrax
I think it ruffed with a random card. lycier was it a basic bot or advanced?
lycier
I think it ruffed with a random card. lycier was it a basic bot or advanced? I play "Solitaire Bridge" at bbo.I have to say GIB is making more and more better now.
Antrax
Solitaire bridge is a basic bot. I guess it's possible it never simulated E with a ♦ singleton so all trumps seemed equally valid to it.

Antrax
Advanced bots are much better than basic bots, that much is guaranteed. However, you have a lot of complaints about GIB's system, and that won't change. Just the quality of card play and its bidding "judgment". Bbradley62
Some other info that you might find useful about the difference between advanced Gib and basic GIB:http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/50275-advanced-gib-vs-regular-gib/page__p__600654__hl__%2Bdifference+%2Bbasic+%2Badvanced__fromsearch__1#entry600654http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/62889-pro-gib-v-basic-gib/page__p__756610__hl__%2Bbasic+%2Badvanced__fromsearch__1#entry756610
johnu
The "free" Basic bots make a lot of random bids and plays. BBO's responses has essentially been that you get what you pay for and don't expect more. That's why it is important to specify which game you are playing in so the type of bot can be determined.
