Have a look at my hand,it is a great pity that we lost grand slam.

As a basic common sense,one of 5N'meaning is to ask partner a question: Do you afford extra tricks? North GIB held ♣ AKQ95,we can regard its decent ♣ suit as a good source of tricks.And bid up to 7S is a very reasonable contract after my 5N.This is a right way of evaluation hand !

So I have to say GIB isn't a good slam bidder!

A range of 14HCP hands would be good for slam- you just have bid it without great bidding science- low to intermediate human bridge players would be confused too- we have everything- experienced partner did you lie or make a mistake and we shouldn't be in slam.
