I passed over 3C because from past experience, if I compete with 3S then GIB assumes that I have a superaccept, despite that I accepted the tfr on prev round.

Did no good.

Accept the transfer, pass over 3C, and then give pref for Spades, is still sufficiently encouraging for North to push on to game, despite that he was happy to stop in 2S earlier.

These situations will have some general fix in next v29 - once partner ( no matter which one ) passed partial game, GIB will not be able to find 3NT. Once two passes are followed.

 

In one of previous updates was added something similar for 4M game if GIB has used limited raise and it was followed by two passes.
