JLOGIC
I would assume it is NF and partner bid 3H since he wanted us to look at our hearts/know that hearts was important for slam since 2H does not necessarily show hearts. For instance with 6 very good spades and 5 mediocre hearts I would want to play in spades but would wan to focus on hearts, if I just bid 3S over 2S partner would not know I had real hearts. I guess "help suit slam try" woulda been more concise :P
nigel_k
Probably I am still in the stone age but I would have thought 3♥ was non forcing and you need to bid 3♣ with a GF.
the_clown
I would say its natural showing 3♥s and 2♠. With that major suit holdings and a stiff club it feels natural to give a preference to 2♠ at first, but after 3♥ you really want to play in your best fit.

TWO4BRIDGE
what is 2 hearts?I think this is a double-fit auction.2S should show 3 cards ♠ regardless what 2H meant . 3H quite possibly shows a 5-5 in the majors and a game-try if you will . 4H says: " I also have 3 cards ♥ and offers a choice of games.4S was the selected choice . cherdano
Is it normal to give false preference to 2♠ with, say, 2362 on this auction? P.S.: This was a first time partnership, but certainly 2♥ was forcing.

If you have heart/club stoppers then you can bid 2N, if you have great diamonds and 2 small spades maybe 3D, but I'd say 2S is the most likely bid with that shape.
