Cthulhu D
Unfortunately hand records are not available on line, so some of the small spots are missing, but south deals, all NV, sitting west I had S: AKQJT9543H: 9D: A C: 73 and partner had S: 8H: xxxD: KQ9xxC: AJTx Bidding is opened 3H by south and then they pass throughout. 6S makes, but how do you bid it? I was extremely puzzled. We have no specific agreements and this hand blew my mind.
Cyberyeti
3♥-X-P-4N-P-6♠ is not totally unreasonable but I'd be terrified of partner passing the double out. Not sure what I'd do at the table.
PhilKing
I've got nothing - how can we ask for the spade eight?

Not sure what I'd do at the table. Yeah, that was my concern, so I had no idea what to do and just bid 4S. I was considering 5S as well, but not convinced of the merits of that either.
the hog
X over 3H? No way, that is entirely unreasonable. I am not sure how to bid 6 either. Note that 6 only makes on a C lead or H lead and C switch because partner holds the S8, as pointed out by Phil King

Note that 6 only makes on a C lead or H lead and C switch because partner holds the S8, as pointed out by Phil King There are lots of constructs where slam is going to be on though, ignoring partners actual hand, particularly after the preempt on your right shows that he's likely to have 10+ HCP. All you need is two cover cards, but I have no idea how to find out about the situation.

mr1303
I'll make a strong jump overcall to 4S. And then await the opening lead. Ah well...
RSClyde
I'd bid 4♠. The other hand isn't too far away from a call over that. I mean with one less spade everyone's bidding 4♠ and you'd want to be there opposite that hand.
