jgillispie
As a youth bridge player myself, I find it frustrating that only a small percentage of my peers play bridge. What can we do to get more kids playing bridge?

diana_eva
If you're into Facebook there's an interesting group of teachers and mentors discussing this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1383358701877336/
RunemPard
From a junior...I started bridge and taught myself by playing, watching, and reading. I already had an interest in cards (I started playing spades when I was 12). The interest is either there or it's not...IMO. The thing that attracted me the most was the diversity and excitement of the bidding. You don't just bid your tricks and play...you bid as accurately as possible to find the best contract to play. You setup agreements and "communicate" to your partner. The bidding was the most exciting part of bridge to me and that is where the fun is for younger players who already have been playing other card games. The best place to get new, younger, experienced card players from is online spades. 4 of my friends from spades are now playing bridge on BBO. broze
The best simple idea I've heard for a massive boost in new players is to have a simple bridge game built in to the Microsoft OS game folder.

If only someone high up at Microsoft liked the game of bridge. ;)
manudude03
And if only we had someone who's friendly with the boss to deliver the message. :)
