2 questions.

1) Do you agree with bidding 2C? Or do you prefer double?

Partner's 2D bid doesn't promise anything. It is a question by partnership agreement.

What do you call here?

Agree with 2. Not a huge fan of making marginal doubles with a distributional hand that is going to be difficult to show if I start with dbl, especially r/w.

Now I make whatever my systemic bid is to show extras with 5-5 Majors. Absent any agreement I'll try 3C and hope p reads it as 5=5=2=1.

No it doesn't, unless you're expecting them to be nice and lead , and even then it's a stretch.

AK of hearts, heart ruff felling 3-3 hearts, J of spades catching K 3rd or 2nd onside.

Not having a way to cheaply show a good major two-suiter is bad. This is of course part of what I discuss in my book, Overcalling Opponent's 1NT, but there are other ways to solve this.

Like pass? My partner categorically denies holding 3 cards in either major making game highly against the odds.

Good Lord Molyb, is that a 2 bid instead of 2?

That's a very uncooperative partner. Sounds like my partner s.
