rhm
I usually resolve close decisions by raising partner with 3 spades. Here I rebid 2♦ Rainer Herrmann
mcphee
Well this hand clearly got a lot better as I hear the bidding. 2D would be my choice next and I sure hope partner does not pass.

gszes
hand has improved considerably and the length and quality of ourheart suit convinces me 3h is the best of both worlds. 2d just seemsway too risky when game is available opposite as little asxxxx A xxxx Axxx where p will pass 2d and easily raise 3h to 4or KQxx x QJxx xxxx where p will always pass 2d and might go to 4hover a 3h bid or Kxxxx A xxxx xxxx i do not want to be resting in 2d when hearts should be way better even if not in game. nige1
Nobody vul, Patton (IMPs + BAM) ♠ A 10 9 ♥ Q J 10 9 5 2 ♦ A K 7 4 ♣-1♥-1♠? IMO 2♦ = 10, 3♥ = 9, 2♥ = 8, 3♦ = 5, 4♥ = 4, 2♠ = 3, 3♠ = 2.
nigel_k
I'll bid 3♦. Sometimes we will get too high but the set of hands that would pass 2♦ will produce a major suit game fairly often.
Fluffy
There are so many follow ups, and even card play problems, that's what my webpage first intention was so I got it there. I didn't pay so much attention to card play defence on this one, so you might see bad plays if you declare. Click here to bid and play the hand

ggwhiz
hmmm, silent opponents and a club suit MIA makes me think I can get away with 2♦ almost always and find out more about pards major suit lengths before committing. The only time this goes float is when pard has a worm with 4-6 in the blacks or thereabouts.
Fluffy
at the table 2♦ was the winner, it made LHO stay away from a diamond lead, and eventually 4♥ made. I decided to bid 3♥ which my partner surprisingly passed, although no fit and a lot of quaks is not ideal, 3NT was making quick 10 tricks not even needed diamonds finese. A diamond lead against 3♥ and a not super play restriced me to 140.
ahydra
I would have bid 3H... let's see what partner did. HE PASSED WITH A NINE-COUNT AND ♥K? WTF? ahydra
