ewj
Maybe this is too simple for "Expert" bridge...but what would people now bid on this... [hv=pc=n&n=sq63h62dakqjt5ckq&d=n&v=b&b=13&a=1d1hppdp1np]133|200[/hv] Not very exciting I admit.

cherdano
I would start by reminding myself of the discussions I had with partner about the minimal strength of a direct 1N bid by responder...
ewj
I would start by reminding myself of the discussions I had with partner about the minimal strength of a direct 1N bid by responder... Didn't realise this would require any discussion....8-10? Maybe a v suitable 7 or v poor 11?
wanoff
Didn't realise this would require any discussion....8-10? Maybe a v suitable 7 or v poor 11? That leaves too big a gap of 0-7 and partner could be Jxx Qxxx 9xx Axx. But you'll have to stick with the odds and pass. Prefer 1n=6-
the_clown
Pass. Partner may have ♣A and QJx of ♥ but this is a rather long shot.
ewj
Surprised that nobody's even suggested bidding diamonds...
