What to rebid?

Second last board of a close teams match, playing basic ACOL. What is the best bidding path on this hand?[hv=pc=n&w=s5hat6daqt3cakq97&e=sqt63hk742dk9542c&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=1cp1dp]266|200[/hv]

Past that our auction went 1,2, 4NT, 5, 6. I feel like this is unscientific as hell and there has to have been a better way to have bid wests hand.

If it is then I'm not aware of it, started playing in October last year and just picked Jacoby 2NT response - so the partnership methods in play at this table were pretty lacking. Researching Splinters makes them seem like a good idea to pick up, I was to concerned with the bidding just going 4, 5. Which I'd be forced to pass.

3 splinter is absolutely normal once you learn it.

At least you were on the same wavelength, for some more advanced players with hearts agreed, bids like 6 can be something like "Bid 7 with K" (admittedly on this auction there are other ways to ask for this with plenty of room, but there are other auctions where this is not the case)
