gambolero
[hv=pc=n&n=sat63hq53dkqjt92c&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1np2cp2hp]133|200[/hv] I am used to four suit transfers where we have the transfer to show minor single suiters and so 3♦ here would promise 4 spades, longer diamonds and game forcing, however, at the urging of partner we are playing minor suit stayman. But now we need a way to show strong minor single suiters so 3♦ here doesn't promise 4 spades right? How do you show this hand without missing a possible 4--4 spade fit?3NT (which would promise 4 spades) seems unappealing.
GHS_K_Chow
What are your 3 level bids? Or 2N? This should always guarantee 4S so you don't miss the Spade fit. If worse comes to worse, use minor stayman and 4D for 6 card diamond slam try. If partner responds clubs, you'll override clubs for diamonds and if partner denies 4 clubs anyway, 4D can only promise 6 diamonds and say nothing about clubs since you would have raised with
Cyberyeti
Have you discussed what 1N-2♣-2♥-2♠ shows here ? We use it for various hands with ambitions beyond game, but I don't believe there is a standard. Also what is 3♦ for you ? many people will play this as 5+♦/4♠ forcing. You say you use MSS, but by what method in what sequence ?

cherdano
Even if 3♦ doesn't promise four spades, why would you miss 4-4 spade fits this way? If partner has 4 spades, he can bid 3♠, and you can raise him. I mean, nothing wrong with adding a gadget here to improve things, but I see no problem that you need to solve. Cyberyeti
(re 1N-2♣-2♥-3♦ as forcing) this is standard It may be modern standard, or standard in strong no trump land, old style weak no trump it's to play with 4♠/6♦ and we still play it that way. fromageGB
I'm at a loss to see what the problem is. I think we need to know what your replies of 2♠, 2NT and 3♣ used to mean before MSS, how you want to play MSS, and what causes a problem. If you played 2-under minor transfers, are you happy switching to 1-under?
