We have at least the next 5 weeks scheduled for practice and our opps will

be either JEC or the Wales national team. I am going to create a new topic

for each match so we can set up our schedule in advance. This one is for 8/17

so sign up now and miss the summer rush.

The waiting line is long and distinguished it has been a very difficult decision but the

judges have finally decided which of the participants will play vs JEC TOMORROW

at 2PM eastern drum roll please if you will maestro---------------------------------------

 

sitting NS will be (insert anyone)/(insert anyone)

sitting EW will be (insert anyone)/(insert anyone)

 

I have a good feeling about this line up and the enthusiasm shown by the forum

crowd was fantastic. My apologies for all that signed up and didn't get chosen.

My system is a tad complex sometimes and this time it took 4 judges to help

decide which players were highest on the seniority list. We have many upcoming

matches in the next couple of months and everyone interested should get a

chance to play.

Thank goodness we failed to put a team together.. PHEW that was close. JEC slaughtered a team

of world class stars by 87 imps and it was touch and go over last 3 boards to make it a cool 100 IMPS.

 

Obviously we would have had no chance. It was so bad the stars kept yelling MEDIC MEDIC it sounded

eerily like a battlefield. As I look out ahead to next week I see we have had 26 views of that post but still

NO VOLUNTEERS.

 

I noticed that when I was watching the spingold there were about 80 to 160 kibitzers at any given time--

there were 280+ watching the JEC match. That's a LOT of players that could learn from your bidding

and play. You know the stuff you write about for the forums.. Your chance to put your words in play

against the best and see how your ideas work. We have had a lot of confident teams go down in

flames so beating this team is a real challenge as our approximately 1 and 50 record would indicate.

Hey, we beat them over 16 boards in the 4th quarter of our Spingold match, does that count? Of course they were already +163 in the first 3 quarters so the -2 in the fourth probably didn't worry them.

THAT 4TH QUARTER you actually lost by 87 the plus 2 was a result of shell shock from the first 163 imps

drubbing:))))))))))))) If you have recovered:))))))))))))))) you can try again against JEC or WALES over the

next 8 weeks all you have to do is sign up:))))))))))))))))
