Explanations of calls

I admit it. Sometimes I mouse over partner’s bid to see what it means. Sometimes (horror!) I mouse over my own options before bidding to check their meanings first. This I know to be contrary to the laws. My conscience is reasonably untarnished. I only do it in robot individual tourneys, where it is a level playing field. Or so I thought.

 

Latterly, on seemingly random occasions, the explanation is not made available to me. This seems to occur more when I am mousing over my own options than calls already made by CHB.

Consistent with this effect, should I load the movie on conclusion of the hand, those same calls that were devoid of explanation at the time remain without explanation in the movie.

 

I generally play using the Android mobile app. I can neither confirm nor deny that this effect is replicated in other interfaces. If it is interface-specific then arguably this should be posted in the suggestions for software subforum. Mods feel free to move. But it is arguable because it is certainly a GIB-specific problem.

 

While I hover the explanation presented says "loading definitions ...". Trouble is it never progresses beyond that point.

 

I find that it happens in batches. Once it starts I may go an entire session or tourney before it deigns to start giving me meanings of calls again.

 

Provided that every other human individual in the tourney, on the same hand and same auction, is presented with the same effect, then it remains a level playing field. Personally I have my doubts.

No laws apply in the online zone.

 

Sometimes I get it worse it gives me the wrong ones- always opening hand descriptions when the hand has already been opened.
