eagles123
Me and P had a good result but a slight mix up on the bidding on this one: [hv=pc=n&w=sqjhjt92da5cakq93&e=st97h6543dt86cj87&d=n&v=0&b=1&a=pp1ndr2hp3hppp]266|200[/hv] xx was alerted as 5 card suit asking p to bid 2 clubs (pass or correct) my question is what is the function of the 2 Heart bid here? My p and I obviously had a different idea of what it meant. I thought it showed a hand with decent offense but little defense basically saying i'd prefer to play rather than defend... but my p thought it just showed a weak hand? Is this just a matter of partnership agreement or is there a clear answer :) Cheers Eagles

wank
you're right. your partner is off the hook as the opps need to bid, so he should pass and await developments.

Zelandakh
Is this just a matter of partnership agreement or is there a clear answer :)I think it is a matter of agreement and having it show a weak hand unwilling to sit a double is very common. If you do it this way then you pass first and bid something the next time around with a decent offensive hand.
