morgoth85
Hi. In my spare time I created simple tool, that can improve blogging about bridge boards. It allows to import BBO board and embed it directly on personal website with simple styling (CSS). Project is available as open source - you can see it on http://brist.urizen.pl Please, let me know if anyone can find it useful. Cheers. diana_eva
Looks nice, but the handviewer link can be embedded on the blog directly, so why this extra step? I like that it details the bidding, which in Handviewer is often too long to be viewed without having to scroll, no matter how large the iframe is but still...Isn't it easier for the blogger to take the handviewer link and iframe it directly? Just asking because I might be missing full functionality of this tool. See these blogs for example (not trying to advertise these authors, but the blogs are managed by me so I know exactly how the diagrams are included):http://bernardmarcoux.blogspot.ro/http://lidororen.blo...-all-cards.html Also, your tool doesn't recognize the tinyurl format people get from BBO via Options> Export Deal > Handviewer link. It looks like this:http://tinyurl.com/nw6ajew So IMO for bloggers it is easier to get the tinyurl and iframe it directly. morgoth85
Is there any BBO recommendation or instruction how to embed handwiever link within iframe?I did know that this is possible, but wasn't sure if this is easy thing to do for all. Maybe this is not a good direction - will see.Do you think that some open discussion tool binded to board would be a way to go? Thanks for your feedback. BTW. I added support for tinyurl, so now you can paste i.e. http://tinyurl.com/nw6ajew
diana_eva
There's the handviewer manual, yes: http://www.bridgebase.com/help/v2help/handviewer.html The handviewer also allows user to play out a board by clicking the Next button. Not sure if your tool includes play of hand too (seems it doesn't). I'm not trying to criticize or discourage you. I like what you did there and I suppose there might be bloggers out there who would prefer that format instead of the handviewer.
